Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Stein, grew up in the south of Hamburg, Germany.
After finishing his apprenticeship as an aircraft metal sheet worker at Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) in Hamburg, he gained several years of work experience as airframe mechanic for different Boeing and Airbus aircrafts at Lufthansa Technik AG in Hamburg.
Attracted by aircraft technology, he started to study aircraft design at the university of applied sciences in Hamburg. In 1996 he graduated as diploma engineer. During his studies he gained international experience by internships in Toulouse and in the USA.
As aircraft engineer Thomas Stein gained professional experience in various companies and positions concernig technical documentation as well as aircraft maintenance.
In January 2006 he started freelancing, became a member of Aviation Service Network in April 2006 and registered partner of Aviation Service Network in April 2007. Since the change of the company's legal status in July 2008 he is executive manager of ASN Aviation Service Network GmbH together with Kai Ritter.
